How many of you still sleep with a nightlight because you're afraid of what's lurking in the shadows of your bedroom? How many of you shriek at the sight of an eight-legged freak (that's a spider for those of you who aren't horror movie buffs)? Ok, I admit that I have a phobia just like the rest of you . . . it's sharks! I make the excuse that I'm not on an equal playing field with a shark in the ocean but that's not the root of my phobia. Here's a little tidbit for you to store; vending machines kill more people every year than sharks! Who gets killed by a freaking vending machine? So I know that I have a better chance of seeing Dave C. lose another 100 lbs before I get gobbled up by a shark but, that still doesn't put me at ease. I blame that damn movie JAWS!

Our goal is to examine a broad spectrum of topics ranging anywhere from “things that go bump in the night," to the S.A.R.S. scare. Maybe this class will help me to find out why my five-year-old son is afraid that he's going to contract S.A.R.S. Field trips are a must and by the way, ever see that show fear on MTV (HINT, HINT, HINT)? Sure, we'll probably have some guest speakers come in and freak you out also! For the squeamish people in class, we'll be participating in Triad on a weekly basis to help you get through any onset of emotional trauma as a result of the class (just kidding)! I look forward to seeing the entire school lined up outside my door, just DYING to be picked for our extended class! C-ya this fall, if you make it!
