We're proud to announce the School Without Walls web site facelift! The new and improved site, located at www.SchoolWithoutWalls.org, launched on Friday, March 8, 2002. There are portions of the site still under construction, but thanks to R.J. Mattimore, a Junior at SWW and Betsy (Marks) Delaney ('81) acting as a consultant the new site should be much more useful to everyone who visits. This section of the site has also changed to accentuate the new look and feel of SWW's site.
...Includes the agenda of the next Community Board meeting and a plea for a letter-writing campaign.
...Includes information about the 30th Anniversary party and the current action against the New York State Board of Regents, as well as a response form for feedback on the contents of the letter.
SWW Launches www.SchoolWithoutWalls.org
In 2000-2001, SWW students and teachers launched a new web site, hosted at Genesee Gateway. On Monday, July 23, 2001, the site moved to its new location, www.SchoolWithoutWalls.org. In the coming months, the site will be renovated with the help of Dan Drmacich (current Principal), R.J. Mattimore (Class of '04) and Betsy (Marks) Delaney, (Class of '81).
We welcome your comments and suggestions for ways to improve the site as we plan for the redesign. Send your email to alumni@schoolwithoutwalls.org for more information about what's in store.
SWW Turns 30
On the weekend of June 16, 2001, students, teachers and parents celebrated SWW's 30th Anniversary. With over 90 alumni and former students in attendance, the weekend was quite a success.
Events included a Friday evening gathering at Rohrbach's Brewing Company, Saturday's formal celebration of the school's past, present and future, and a family-oriented picnic on Sunday at the Round House in Genesee Valley Park.
During Saturday's event, Lew Marks, Founding Program Administrator, spoke about the history and future of SWW. Read Lew's speech online.
