Student Based Planning Team (SBPT)
According to the School Without Walls Handbook, "the Rochester City School District requires that every school have a team composed of teachers, administrators, parents and students to make decisions about each school's goals, curriculum, and organization. School Without Walls was the pioneer of this idea in the City School District. Our School Based Planning Team consists of: all the teaching staff, the Principal, a representative from each extended class and four parents. The School Based Planning Team meets to discuss and reach consensus on a variety of issues, proposals, and problems. Although there are elections for the voting students and the four voting parents, any student or parent may attend and participate in the meetings."
