Minority Science Scholarship - This is a need-based scholarship in the amount of $250 or more. Any graduating senior who demonstrates financial need, academic proficiency, a GPA = 2.5 and who plans on attending a college or university with a major in the sciences is eligible to apply. The deadline is April 1, 2003.
Peter Castle Memorial Scholarship/Grant-In-Aid - The Rochester Teachers Association will award three (4) scholarships of $1,000 each to Seniors graduating from Rochester public high schools. Any student who will graduate in June and plans to continue his/her education is eligible. Candidates must have an overall academic average of 80% or better. One scholarship is for general students. The second is for a student pursuing a career in teaching. The third is the Gordon Dorway Science Award which is given to a student pursuing a career in Science. The fourth will be offered to a high school Senior who is the son or daughter of an RTA member. All applications must be postmarked no later than April 25, 2003.
WROC Student Leaders Scholarship Program - This program recognizes college-bound students with demonstrated and documented leadership skills and a commitment to community service throughout high school. The application process is quite rigorous and requires significant preparation. If you believe you qualify for this scholarship, please see Mike for an application as soon as possible. The application must be postmarked on or before March 28, 2003.

Maude Orman Scholarship - Available to all African-American seniors who have a GPA = 3.0. All applications and recommendations must be postmarked no later than April 7, 2003.
Hispanic Scholars Endowment Fund Scholarship - There are ten $1,000 scholarships for college bound Hispanic students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. All eligible students are encouraged to apply. Applications must be postmarked no later than April 4, 2003.

NYWEA Scholarship - This scholarship sponsored by The New York Environment Association is for students pursuing a degree in an environmentally related program. The deadline is March 15, 2003.
NYS Assoc. of Agricultural Fairs - This scholarship is for NYS high school seniors planning to pursue a degree in agriculture or an agricultural related field. 20% of the applicants total scoring eligibility is for participation in the applicant's county fair. The first deadline is April 11, 2003.
New York State Regents Professional Opportunity Scholarships - This scholarship ranges from $1,000 to $5,000 per year. Students must enroll in a NYS postsecondary institution in order to be eligible. See the bulletin board outside of Mike's office.

Delta Delta Delta Scholarship - This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a young woman from Monroe County based on her scholastic ability, school and community activities and financial need. See Mike for an application. The deadline for this scholarship is March 15, 2003.
Ella J. Barnard, Emil Kuiching and Acorn Society Scholarships - The scholarships are for Seniors who will be continuing their education after high school. Applicants must be residents of Monroe County and in the top 10% of their class. Financial need will be a consideration. See Mike for the application. No photocopied application will be accepted. A copy of your financial aid form (FAFSA) must be submitted with your application. Only one (1) Senior may apply from each high school. The School Without Walls deadline is April 21, 2003 @ 1:00 P.M.
NAWIC Scholarship - The Greater Rochester Chapter of the National Association of Women In Construction is offering two $1,000 scholarships to young women entering college in the Fall of 2003 in pursuit of a construction related career, i.e. some types of engineering, architecture or construction management. The sponsor must be in receipt of the application by March 31, 2003.
Greater Rochester Area Payroll Association - $250 scholarships available to students with a B average, who will be attending a college within a 50 mile radius of Rochester and pursuing a career in business. The deadline is April 30, 2003.
Katherine M. Reichel Award - This $1,000 scholarship recognizes a female high school senior who has selected education as her career and will study at SUNY College @ Brockport. Selection will be based on demonstrated leadership, outstanding academic ability and potential for success in the education profession and admittance into Brockport for the Fall 2003 semester. The deadline is April 2, 2003.
Fred & Floy Willmott Foundation Scholarship - There are two (2) scholarships of $1,000 each for students entering college for art and two (2) scholarships of $1,000 each for students entering college for elementary education. The deadline is Monday, May 5, 2003.
