Extended ClassTheater Arts 2003 - 2004: From the Page to the Stage
This class is designed to give you a hands on experience in live musical theater. In partnership with the Rochester Broadway Theater League, we'll be actively involved with five live Broadway Musical Theater performances. Throughout the year we'll:
During the year we'll seek to answer such questions as: Does an audience affect the actor's performance? Who are some of the most famous people in American Musical Theater? Has technology had an impact on live theater? What is the role of the producer? How are the issues of religion, ethnicity, lifestyles, love, obsession, creativity, history, culture, deceit, and family relationships portrayed in musical theater?...and many more. Be prepared to immerse yourself in a year of singing, dancing, reading, traveling to the theater, and becoming totally involved in taking it...FROM THE PAGE TO THE STAGE! * There is a student cost of $15.00 for each show.
