Notice is hereby given
That the Rochester City School District, pursuant to the U.S. General Provisions Act declares the following as "directory information" as provided in said act, and that information relating to students may be made public if said information is in any of the following categories: "student's name, address, telephone listing; date and place of birth; major field of study; participation in officially recognized activities and sports; weights and heights of members of athletic teams; dates of attendance; degrees and awards received; the most recent previous educational agency or institution attended by the student; and school related photographs for use in yearbooks"

This public notice is required by law before such information can be placed in yearbooks or student directories. Any parent or any student in the district may notify the district by notifying the principal of the school in which said student attends of the parent's objections, provided that such notification is given the district within thirty (30) days of this publication notice.

Notice of Policy

It is the policy of the Rochester City School District not to discriminate on the basis of sex in the educational programs or activities which it operates.

The District is required by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and the implementing regulations not to discriminate on the basis of sex. This requirement not to discriminate extends to employment by the District.

Inquiries concerning the application of Title IX and the implementing regulations to the District may be referred to Central Office to persons who have been designated by the District as coordinators for Title IX compliance, or the Director of the Office for Civil Rights, Department of Health, Education and Welfare, Washington, DC.
