SENIOR PROJECT PROPOSAL
The Senior Project Concept and Final Proposal should follow THIS FORM. The parts which are required to be filled out for the Concept are sections A, C, and E (staff & student names). They may need to be revised for the Final Proposal based upon staff, student and committee input. A sample form is included on the next page and is available on the computer.
A. WHAT I WANT TO LEARN
This part is really what your SENIOR PROJECT IS, so be sure to include specifics: the problem(s) to be dealt with... for example - "I want to learn how to build a desk." Your project is learning how to build a desk; it is not just building the desk. Your learning may include: finding out how to select appropriate materials and tools, learning how to use them, learning how to draw plans, etc. The desk is not the project; the learning is.
B. HOW WILL I GO ABOUT LEARNING THESE THINGS?
Detail the methods you will use and the resources you will need. (include here your senior project advisor)
C. WHAT WILL THE PRODUCT BE?
What will I produce?
D. WHAT WILL THE TIMELINE BE?
Work Schedule and conference dates.
E. COMMITTEE MEMBERS
| Staff: 2 |
Community: 2 |
Student: 2 |
Above all, you must accept the responsibility for making clear what you have accomplished. Your committee is not responsible for figuring out what you have said or done. Your original SENIOR PROJECT product or appropriate documentation must be submitted to the office for filing. It will be available to students, staff, and others for reference.
